Maison Serre
On the land there was a very regular plantation of hazelnut trees, the trees, equidistant 5 meters, are inscribed on a square grid. This regularity and modulation are reflected in the geometry of the house. Initially for a very practical reason, we wanted to keep the greatest number of trees, so the 5 meters became a common denominator. In this house we access all the cloistered rooms from a single large double-height room.
This large room is divided into two parts, one heated and the other unheated, both fulfilling the functions specific to the living room/dining room/kitchen. Users will appropriate them according to the weather, desires, seasons, …
